Another fantastic Pubcon is in the books – and this year may have been our favorite one to date! The sessions were plentiful in excellent content, case studies, actionable tactics, and food for thought, the speaker roster was diverse, experienced, and top shelf, and the networking was as always, incredible. From smaller meet ups, to intimate dinners, and large parties, there was something for everyone. For us, the most invaluable part of Pubcon is the community. Getting one on one time to connect with old friends and meet new ones is always the highlight of the annual conference and it keeps us coming back each year – this being our fourth and certainly not our last.
What an interesting, challenging, exciting, and invaluable year of growth and knowledge it has been. As we celebrate our 3 year anniversary, I’m incredibly proud of what we have accomplished, from the clients we have the pleasure of working with to the positive impact we have on their business goals and the direction that AKvertise is heading in as we continue evolving as a business.
Earlier this week, I attended the State of Search conference for the second time in the last three years, hosted by the Dallas-Fort Worth Search Engine Marketing Association (DFWSEM) in Dallas, Texas. Over the course of the two day show, the agenda covered a variety of hot topics ranging from search engine optimization, content marketing, paid search and social, to organic social media marketing. While my focus was set on paid search and social sessions, I also popped in to other sessions to stay up to date on other best practices, gather ideas to share with clients that may benefit them in areas outside of advertising, and learn tactics that I could potentially implement within my own business. In addition to acquiring knowledge from some top notch speakers, I caught up properly with a number of friends and industry peers, had some invaluable one on one’s, and made several great new connections.
